If you’re between the ages of 18 and 25 and proficient with social media, the Sierra Club has an internship for you.

Direct from the Sierra Club’s press release:

“The lucky young person (age 18–25) selected to be our Outdoors Youth Ambassador will:

*Travel around the country camping, rafting, hiking, contributing to environmental service projects, and enjoying the outdoors with the Sierra Club’s youth programs.
*Create an awesome video blog that documents the experience.
*Be based in beautiful San Francisco at the Sierra Club’s headquarters.
*Earn a $2,500 stipend for the 8-week internship, plus all expenses paid for travel.
*Be outfitted with $2,000 worth of gear from The North Face and Planet Explore.

The Outdoors Youth Ambassador will spend the summer video-blogging on a variety of Sierra Club-sponsored programs that include National Outings Volunteer Vacations, Inner City Outings, and Building Bridges to the Outdoors programs. Find out more and apply online at www.sierraclub.org/bestinternship. Deadline is March 31st!”

    Hi Julie,

Since you blogged about our “Best Internship on Earth” opportunity a few weeks back, I wanted to give you a heads-up about where we are at in the process. Out of over 800 Youtube submissions from applicants, we’ve narrowed down our search to the top 25-all of whose videos are really entertaining. The finalists’ page is live and awaiting people’s ratings and comments.

I think Matador Change readers would be very interested in checking out our web page and rating their own personal favorites. And let us know what you think too! Would you like to blog about this?

    Best,
    Sarah
