I have just finished the two weeks of the teen program a few weeks ago at Priego and I can honestly say it was the best few weeks of my life. I met nearly 100 teens from all over the world and made friends with each and every one of them. I shared a house with a Spanish participant and over the course of the two weeks we became firm friends. I am still in contact with most of the anglo and spaniard participants and am already planning my trip for next summer. It was amazing to see the difference in the quality of their English by the end of the two weeks. The only bad part of the trip was the last day, when we had to say goodbye.

I am going to LaAlberca with my daughter in October and am so excited about it. I looked into it a couple of years ago after meeting a lovely person on a cruise who was talking about doing the one in Barcelona twice every year. He said it was a great experience so I decided to look into it and finally decided to do it. After what I heard from that person, I can't imagine that it will be anything but a positive experience, and I'm glad I finally made the decision to do it. I hope to try some of their other locales after LaAlberca.

Which program would you be eligible for if you were 21 years old, the adult or teen program?

Hello Pam:

I signed my daughter up for the Las Ramblas camp (2 weeks ) and she was accepted. She's a mature 15 year old. Since I didn't know too much about it, I planned to fly over to Spain with her and travel a few days before dropping her off, and fly back to West Chester, PA where we live. Then I thought, why should she have all the fun, I just applied for a week long program for adults at another location. I am thinking about asking my husband to come along, this sounds like fun.

My daughter is very excited about the program, she would be happy to email your daughter if you would like. She is going early July. I hope your child attends. This sounds like fun.

Hi Katherine,

It's the Anglo Department here! If you are still 18 this summer then you are eligible to attend Pueblo Ingles Teen Programs. Our minimum age for adult programs is 22 so you will have to wait a few years!

You need to head to the website www.puebloingles.com and click on 'apply' and fill out an application form. We recuit native english speakers no matter where they reside so yes that definitely counts you in!

If you decide to sign up for a Teen Program please be aware that availability is very limited this summer as our programs are very popular so you may have to join a waiting list.

Check out the website for more info and if you have any other questions email us at anglos@puebloingles.com.

Heya i'm an 18 year old considering applying for Pueblo Ingles for a week in the summer but I'm a bit confused as to whether i'd be in the teen group or the adult.
Also i'm from England and i've noticed many people who apply are based in America and wondered, stupid question perhaps, if that counts me out or definitely in?!
Sorry i'm a little ditzy :)

Also if I am put among the adult group does anyone know how much it will cost for transport from the air port and for a room the night before as i'm sadly a bit strapped for cash!

Anyway, would really appreciate the comments! Thanks xoxox

Would love to connect you to my daughter and her friend if you are ok with that.

Hey! I signed up for the teen program yesterday and I found this story really helpful! However, I can't find any info about the teen program. Apparently, there are group forums you can access once you're accepted, but I haven't gotten a reply yet (only sent the form last night!) and I'm really excited about going. Has anyone gone to the teen camp? How old are the teens there? I'm 14, and my only worry is that all the teens there will be several years older than me.
Also, how's the food there? I loved your photos of the meals, but I suspect that they're a bit different for us teens (No wine, for example!).
And which of the camps have pools? I love to swim, and I'd really prefer to go to a camp with a pool. I know La Alberca has one (my top choice!), but do the others?
Thanks guys!

Thank you for all your feedback, it's good to know that the Anglos enjoy the experience as much, if not more than the Spaniards! In response to Michele - please email us at anglos@puebloingles.com and we will be able to put you in contact directly with one of our Teen references who can hopefully answer your questions and inform you about the program.

Thanks again for everyone's support.

I volunteered at La Alberca in September 2008 and am going to volunteer in May at Cazorla. This is a wonderful program. So often when I travel I am frustrated to be just a tourist and feel that I am just looking at sights and shopping and not really getting to know the country or its people. Pueblo Ingles offered me the opportunity to really (REALLY!) get to know 20 wonderful Spaniards - men and women from all parts of Spain and various walks of life who were very grateful for our help. And in addition, the accommodations were great, the food and wine were terrific and we laughed and sang and danced all week. Lots of tears when we all parted, but great photos and memories that will last a lifetime.

PS: Luke and Helen are very helpful and do a great job in choosing the participants.
