Great stories!!! I have never thought in my life that I would find anything written in Lao language online! I was born in Laos but grew up in US and never had the opportunity to learn how to read/write Lao. I really like the short stories….although I don’t know how to read in Lao, but I like to print them out and take them to my father who would read it. It’s funny that I actually enjoy listening to the children stories. Great work guys!

Great program. It would be hard to find a more deserving country. Lao people are so friendly and engaging. I recommend it to travelers all the time.

Nice article about a wonderful organization! We picked up a pack of books from BBM a few years ago and handed them out to teachers at schools as we trekked. It was pretty neat. Some of the Lao stories and proverbs are both in English and Lao languages – take a few minutes to read them before handing them out. They are really clever and funny!

What a great program. They do something similar in my part of China. Each year there is a book drive, and the collected volumes are taken to rural village schools.
